Why every girl must invest in Remy Weave…. the all new CUTICLE REMY weave that is! – for weave lovers & newbies

Now I know that we live in a shrinking economy but as ladies, looking great does wonder to our self esteem…which is why every now and then we have to make financial investments on our image. While I dont advocate going broke on a weave, or any fashion accessory as a matter of fact, ( wear what you can afford) I do advocate making sensible purchases that can last near a lifetime….

Following in the steps of celebrity actresses, models and media personalities, ever increasing numbers of women are discovering the benefits of Remy hair extensions and Remy weaves over other grades of human and synthetic hair
This one though is frickin amazing and like fake boobs i consider it an investment!
My fellow weavers & weave lookers & weave newbies welcome to the future in hair extensions…cuticle remy. Truly pricey but with saving up bit by bit, you will see why I adore this weave after the first wear.

Cuticle Remy packaged

So here is why you should start a cuticle remy savings account:
1. Cuticle aligned hair reflects light in a particular way, is easier to maintain and style and is prone to less tangling and matting. Remy hair’s superiority is due to the fact that the hair shaft is cuticle aligned i.e. All the hair is laying in the same direction
2. Natural lustre and shine, softness, strength and longevity..so you can wash and wash and wash, its stays bouncy and holds the moisture so need to cake it with oil
3. The weft is softer so you sew easier and its more breathable which is good for the health of your scalp
4. It is easier to wrap and maintain again because of the FLEXIBLE cuticle weft, the direction the hair lies
5. The cuticle is fortifies with some weird technology that holds color ,maintain ph levels too!! I CAN HARDLY EXPLAIN IT but the point is from it does no damage to your own natural hair, as a health advocate and stylist I JUST LOVE IT
Now do not fall for a cuticle remy knock off….know that remy,, ok! those chinese manufactureres are very tricky, remember:

Remy hair is very soft to the touch, it feels fluid and runs through your fingers like water. It has a high lustre and shine but does not look waxy (a typical tell tale sign of synthetic hair).

Secondly, Remy hair falls into 2 main categories: Virgin (non-coloured and non-processed) Remy and Non-Virgin (coloured and/or processed) Remy hair.

Another key to ensuring value for money is understanding what hair ratio you are purchasing. Remy extensions can be single drawn – where the hair is of varying lengths, or double drawn – where all the hair is more or less the same length. With double drawn hair the effect is hair that has increased body and looks fuller. However, it is worth noting that if your final hair style is a feathered or layered look, purchasing a single drawn Remy Hair may be appropriate and cost effective

Even if you dont go out and buy cuticle remy and just want to try any remy………Choose your supplier wisely

With the explosion in demand for Remy hair extensions there has also been an explosion in suppliers claiming they are supplying authentic Remy hair. As Remy hair extension are top of the range hair extensions (demanding top of the range prices) then you should ensure you become familiar with how Remy extensions look, feel to the touch and reacts when you brush it. If it is Virgin Remy that is your choice of hair extension then you should be aware of how scarcity might affect the price. For example, if you want a 20″ copper/red spiral curl or 24″ honey blonde deep wave curl these types of Remy will be supplied from either Brazil or Europe and will therefore be more expensive than the more widely available 16″ dark brown straight Virgin Remy supplied from India, China or Malaysia. In short, educate yourself about the various types of Remy and their availability, scarcity and subsequent price points —– told ya its a financial thing, beauty has a price! and my last remi tips are……

Choosing your stylist and look wisely, because remy or not if it dont blend, you wont look good!

Once you have chosen your style, colour and application method, choosing a professional and experienced hair stylist is a critical to maintaining beautiful Remy hair extension. Apart from clip-in Remy extensions which may be applied at home, it is essential that the stylist you choose is concerned with not only the application of your Remy extensions or weaves but the maintenance and health of your hair and the removal or replacement of your extensions at the appropriate time. A good stylist not only applies the extensions but is able to further customise them into a unique personal look.

Your Remy extensions will need to be taken care of in order to maintain their good looks. Caring for your Remy extensions should include, gentle combing or brushing on a daily basis, wrapping or plaiting, washing and conditioning. The use of heated appliances should be undertaken with care and your used only occasionally. So talk to your stylist

My last words…….make a wise beauty investment that offers functionality, versatility and longevity

Remy hair extensions have become popular because of the exceptional looks and styles that can be obtained and the longevity of the product. While being somewhat more expensive than other human hair products and substantially more expensive than synthetic products, if maintained Remy hair extensions will last substantially longer than other extensions and offer a cost effective hair solutions and wise beauty investment……love ya beauties

One love

Would you still recommend this hair? I am trying to find a nice quality weave for my summer sew-in. Some virgin hair and others are super expensive but this looks affordable for about 3 mths. Have you tried the Qutix hair? Which is better the XQ Cuticle or Qutix? How is the XQ Wavy hair?

I am yet to try the QUTIX but believe when i say you will not regret the XQ Cuticle this Summer, you can get lots of wash and re application out of it. However if you are looking for longetivity, the wavy may need a bit more maintenance, but the XQ wavy is pretty, its awesome and the more u pack in the better 😉
