Answers to some of your hair &/or skin issues at the moment

How is your beauty love life?????

So I have been super busy doing hair and wanted to reach out to you beauties who read my blog, notes and posts and see whats going on in your beauty love life 😉

I threw out a random question so I could help out if you all are having any issues at the moment…so here goes some

1. Dark Knees

First thing is your knees are gonna be a bit darker as with any fold of skin but if it is very dark, ash or coarse I am gonna teach you safe effective lightening and softening tips.

Dark knees

First is exfoliate, exfoliate. exfoliate, a body scrub or good ole apricot scrub 3 times a week then immediately follow with 100% pure cocoa butter. AMBI makes a very good lightening creme for that area too. Another tip is to squeeze lemon juice into the cocoa butter when applying. Do this day and night for 3wks you will be amazed.

2. Roller Set with jumbo rollers for a smooth, puff free, sleek finish

To roller set for a sleek finish, you have to start with wet hair, i’m talking real wet. After applying mousse, stay close to the spray bottle with water, so you can re wet as hair begins to air dry. Use a tail comb, to comb thru sections  you are gonna roller. you must over direct the hair

and comb thru on bottom and top b4 ROLLING.. A smoothing trick I do is to lightly mist oil sheen after finish setting b4 going to sit under the dryer. Hair must be completely dry b4 removing rollers. After roller are removes use a wide tooth comb and comb your hair upside down b4 using a paddle brush to wrap it. then finish wrap with a soft brush before tying with a silk wrap. when you remove that silk wrap best believe u will have bouncy yet sleek hair like this

set & wrap comb out

 3. Hair Front not growing

Now to remedy this the thing I dont know your pattern. this is common among black women with relaxed hair though because of incorrect relaxer application, YES ITS TRUE, Many black hairstylist are still combing through that relaxer on the hair line first and then comb it through again and again, the relaxer actually breaks down that hair shaft which results in a hairline so fragile that by pulling your hair back in one on a regular basis will result in it popping mid shaft,, this goes on to result in a hair front that will never pass 3 to 4 inches…its good to try and figure the cause of this and then try building it back via keratin treatments and a change in hair regimen

4. Hair not staying processed

Hmmm….i need more to deal with this, it copuld be any of the following:

-You’re using the wrong strength relaxer for your hair.

-It’s not being applied properly.

-It’s not being left on long enough, maybe because you begin to burn or something

-Your hair is porous and the cuticle isn’t being sealed properly after you get a relaxer. You may need a porosity or a claryifying treatment pre relaxer

-A combination of two of more of the above.

Do you do your relaxer at home or get it done at a salon? Also can you please tell me the name of the shampoo and conditioners you use? Please let me know and I can give you further advice on what I think you can do to solve the problem. kk

5. My hair issue is that my hair is always uneven is like the back never grows. It is also very thin so I have to cream it regularly and if it gets wet there is no restoring it if I don’t wash it. Sigh

Dont Sigh, for every problem there is a solution, Let me know more though, is it that your hair is overprocessed due to incorrect application or is it that is fine and you perspire in your hair, do  you ponytail alot, what oils do you use, shampoos, conditioner, get back to me with that and i will be more than  happy to assist you

hair from poor relaxer application

Please remember ladies that there is power in a consultation with a stylist, we are all unique and should be treated accordingly
